Enter… SEKTA. Producer, dj, promoter, graphic designer, a true renaissance man from Poland. When he’s not co-promoting and organizing bookings for the Warsaw’s most popular club night – ‘Sorry, Ghettoblaster’ (guests include: Renaissance Man, Riva Starr, Zombie Disco Squad, Sweat X, Congorock, The Bloody Beetroots, Shadowdancer, etc you get the picture, big parties), Sekta works on his productions that range from ghettoed-out bass music to smoother housier styles, not forgetting the techy elements here and there. The outcome of his latest efforts is the fresh EP, recorded with Spoek Mathambo (if you’ve been listening you’ve heard of him already for sure, who could miss the prince of township tech from South Africa), the vocalist of Sweat X and Playdoe. Just like the music styles that have been flooding the dancefloors of the best club nights around the world, the tracks of Sekta and Spoek ooze with an african-heavy-bass-uk-funky groove. This means of course steaming hot tribal drums mixed together with digital calimba and massive bass and bangin on in the dancefloor. Also… the list of artists doing remixes is sweet and should get you drooling, presenting names such as: Man Recordings boss Daniel Haaksman, fresh Dirtybird signee Julio Bashmore, Camel, Brazil’s toughest import Edu K, one of Dutch’s finest Kid Kaio, Top Billin’s own Raziek, Palms Out associate Dubbel Dutch, Doc Daneeka, Bert On Beats, Femme En Fourrure, Darling Farah and of course Top Billin (!). Polish dj/producer, South African mc and heavy bass, how dope can things sometimes be? We hope you all dig this and choose to support new talent! AYOBANESS everyone.
