Let the beats thump and bass rumble. Hailing from our hometown Helsinki, we’re happy to introduce you PZLD, who makes dope beats with that lazer twist. 22-year old PZLD’s (pronounced ‘puzzled’) journey into beat making began at the age when 11 dude discovered some beat making software in a cereal packet (!!). Since then he’s been at it compulsively, using a boombap hip-hop template to bring in flavors from UK bass music, as well as jazz, funk and soul. ‘Never Better’ is his debut EP for Top Billin and brings a Finnish touch to the booming new instrumental hip-hop scene. A breath of fresh air on the label once again, enjoy.
