DJ MANAIA aka Ricardo Manaia is not a young gun… Born in 1979, the year that “Apocalypse Now” made first appearance on cinemas, the year that Margaret Thatcher is elected Prime minister in the UK, the year that as technology becomes smaller Sony released the Walkman a worldwide success costing $200 which at that time was a significant amount of money. His past includes a work as a record store manager, DJ and promoter in Portugal and later on producing remixes for labels like Man Recordings, Disko B, Wearhouse and Lektroluv. His first big time success came after launching Zombies For Money, got signed to Trouble&Bass and started touring the US. Zombies For Money has been a major success and now Manaia is set to lauch also his solo career. His debut ep on MTWAT is a joyrney into tropical beats and big basses that will definitely crush dancefloors everywhere.
