There’s gonna be a whole lotta good synergy at the Hämeentie party complex (Kuudes Linja + Siltanen) on new year’s eve 2010… Fummer and I will be holdin’ it down at Siltanen as the TB crew will take over Kuudes Linja (more info about that coming soon). Musicwise it’s gonna be pretty disco/new wave/pop on our side, check out the promomix I just put together. And since Siltanen is a non-serato zone, this is all wax too.
This one comes with a little delay… i was hoping to make a megapost with the brand new video that is still waiting for the final touch.
Our friend Neoteric asked us to do a mixtape for the White Light mixtape series. So here it comes as 16 in the series, with some familiar names involved in earlier episodes like our homies Thee Big Dude, Smalltown Dudes and of course that Dude himself. Grab them all. Excellent stuff for your saturday night soundtrack.
New mix alert! Dragons, goblins, muscular men, big breates women, mixtapes… Metal, stoner metal, so great to listen to this while on our way to the studio. Sharkslayer isn’t all about tech house & reggae sounds, so here’s a metal mix to get your manly on. Only best from since 1970-2009! Iron Curtains!

“Here’s the CTRL x TOP BILLIN mix, previously only available on a promotional (free) CD… Here’s why it’s called ‘Moscow Madness’: We went earlier this year to Moscow to play there with Eli Escobar during the big Moscow fashion fair called ‘Faces & Laces’ (think of Bread & Butter but inna Moskovits’ way, we see you Oleg), played 3 gigs, ended up having too much fun, missing planes back home, meeting up with some real life gangster types and just generally being a bunch of bourgeoisie Finns with Timothy from Ctrl Clothing. Needed to make a mix for it. Enjoy”. Check it on the PACEMAKER player.

Bad mon, check it. The new Sharkslayer mixtape. These don’t come often, so make you sure don’t miss this. This is part of the Palms Out blogs ‘Sounds Of Summer’ -series (vol 15), get it exclusively at their blog and don’t forget the Sharkslayer remix for Digital Manges, also out on Palms Out just now. It’s a Graveyardie thing. Shouts out to Scattermish, Haldan and Urchins.
Hey hey, here’s the new Hand Clap Low Conga promomix (next party is going down this Saturday at Kuudes Linja) by my friend Allen Diamonds, who will be our guest on the next event. A lil different from the previous mixes as this brings the carnival house and UK funky feel…
Looking forward to Saturday as DJ Matrix will bring a fire set of kuduro for sure. Mix and tracklisting after the jump. And stop hacking the site! Upgrading wordpress NOW.
A brand new Top Billin mix for the weekend! I’ve wanted to compile some of my favorite Dance Mania classics for a while and here’s the first installement in what might become a series even. Most of the stuff here is from the label’s mid- to late-90’s heyday and features almost all of the major players from the era, doing bangin remixes of R&B and disco jams. This was supposed to be a podcast but we’re letting the good peoples at Pacemaker stream it for you now. Enjoy!
So many mixes, so little time. Here’s the new edition of the Hand Clap Low Conga mixseries. Check the new party info here, the nights have been amazing, people are really up for all kinds of rhythms and big bass from all around the world. Also looking for different artists all over is educating, lately I’ve learned a lot about various music scenes in various countries…. what could be better than that. Only thing is the lyrics, sometimes you’d end up playing something with lyrics that you just can’t back up. ‘Hey mister, get up, dance, move around, grab that ass and do you sister’, Fail.
This week is hitting off smooth, with a new mix for your pleasure. Mixes are great, it’s like getting compilation albums for free… But this you know already our music enthusiast friends…
The new edition of the Nightrunners Mix Series comes from our friend Tane Lee aka Tasty T, who has played with us and always has got some up-to-date tunes on the disco/house tip. He also won’t stop calling you if he’s got something on his mind. The tracklist is tasty (a-ha) and the mix kills. Get it and enjoy your week and remember the party this Friday at Redrum with Renaissance Man. Tracklist and link after the jump (includes some Nightrunners edits and some Sharkslayer bits too, great).
As you may have noticed, we’ve been runnin at night with our more disco/house -sounds for a while now and here’s the second installment of the Nightrunners mix series (3rd one is also coming next month whoa). This happened on a Sunday while back with a rec on and just playing some favourite records that have been on rotation at the Nightrunners nights. No quickmix, mature stuff. It’s a sweet sweet life.
Spring is coming so running other times than at night is also in order…. The mix is designed for that and I want your comments on it how did it work out. You know the feeling, it takes a while to get machine going, your legs are heavy and breathing feels difficult, but when the machine starts, its a great feeling and you can just keep going on. First you start easy, you keep on going steady rising, then cool down a little and finish it off with a sprint in the end. And besides, the smell of forest in the morning is unbeatable.
It’s time to unleash the second edition of our annual megamixes. It’s real simple, here you have a megamix of the tunes we and our associates made last year. Download and enjoy (the previous one can be found here).
Vice magazine asked us to make a Bloc Party mix of BP and other material for them. We got right on it including a little of that punk feel, tunes that BP have covered (how emo is that Prince tune, we can clearly see why they covered it) and their influences and of course tracks titled ‘Block Party’ (hiphouse included). A deep one to make hanging with Fiskars at 3 am at the studio… We will also be playing at the Bloc Party Helsinki concert after party, should be fun.
Here’s the first Hand Clap Low Conga mixtape, made to promote the parties at Kuudes Linja every two months. Hosted by myself and DJ Downtown, Hand Clap Low Conga is guaranteed to bring you an interesting selection of electronic music around the world. And that ‘carnival house’. Enjoy.
It’s time to gather the all the released and forthcoming Sharkslayer tracks into a this end of the (y)ear MEGAmix. 2009 will see even more dancefloor destroyers. So here you go:
DJ Anonymous has been busy lately, but he also had time to smash out the new Top Billin mixtape! Nearly hour and a half long, full of current club stuff + some classiques so we’re not going wrong with this one either. 11th in the series, this is something you need for your train/car rides on your way to go see your family during the holidays, or to prepare yourself to the boxing day party we’re hosting. We realised few days ago that it’s been a while since there was a new mix Top Billin mix out, so we better get back on it again. Sampo aka Anonymous also did the smashing ‘Midsummer party mix’ 6 months ago, so you better check that out too.
Here’s our brand new mixtape to celebrate our new club night and a record label with the same name. This is where we celebrate all kinds of electronic music from house to beardo-disco or whatever it’s called, from big room to minimal closet styles, you name it. The first 12″ in the Nightrunners series is in stores now and monthly mayhem will be unleashed next friday, the 19th of December. Taking over in 2009 as before.
The newest instalment of T&A records is out. The Ghetto Pass EP is for your definitive club needs. Buy the 12″ HERE or get it digitally HERE.
Includes tracks by DJ Sega, DJ Techics, Tittsworth, Rob Threezy, Jim Sharp and some Top Billin material as well. We also made a mix to celebrate the release of this fine product!
Last month we celebrated our 2nd birthday. It was also about time to look for some fresh blood and we think we definitely found some. We held a mix competition and the winner would get free grear from Nike and Fenchurch, and a chance to dj with us at Top Billin! There were some super strong mixes and the decision was a tough one. DJ Daffy Duck topped them all with his ruthless style and impeccable sense of humor. We also had a lot of fun djing with him (based on his mix, we knew we would, that’s why he came out as the winner…)! He killed it it that night! Congratulations!
