Top Billin welcomes Them Jeans to the Top Billin Knighthood.
If you know anything about the US dj scene, you have heard about Them Jeans for sure and if you’ve ever seen him, you will remember him (his the tallest dj we’ve ever seen with his 6 feet 8 inches figure). Jason aka Them Jeans has been running the infamous Dim Mak nights in Los Angeles for over 5 years now as a dj and a promoter and makes excellent techy house tunes with big bass sounds. He’s had releases before on labels like Emynd’s CFB and Turntable Lab, he deejays like the devil and is one of the dopest dudes we’ve ever met.
His first ep on Top Billin is a funky-styled house banger that has a lead weird enough to make you go wow at the club. Remixes come from fellow LA boys Camo Ufos (Mike B & Nate Day), Mad Decent’s own (and Diplo’s studio engineer) DJA and the next big thing in tropical beats, LOL Boys (don’t let that name fool you, these dudes are for real for real).
Enter Chauffeur aka Thom Theroux from Calgary, Canada. Thom is our man who can make crazy party tunes that will twist your ears, and at the same time have that pop sensibility we love in dance music. This is Chauffeurs debut ep so listen closely.
This 5-track ep, with tracks that range from twisted disco to speaker bruising rave to bass heavy pop, is definitely a rare piece of work for a first release. Fresh in a way when people started to talk about this genre called ‘electro bangers’ (whatever that means). Dark and grimey like the alleys of major cities, the unexpected lurking around the corner.
Chauffeur, tearing the roof down in 2010.

Introducing: Yves Rockers Crew. Well, sort of introducing as Yves Rockers is disco project of our friend and a long-time Top Billin associate DJ Pataässä, who’s made some nice party breaks (Sweat Gunz anyone) and remixes with us in the past. His new project is a dope indie-discoish thing with a rock feel and nice vocals. He’s also a man with great sense on humour, so this no straight-laced project either, so expect more fun disco with that pop sensibility.
Remixes on this ep come from bass-masters Malente & Jay Robinson, Belgium’s wonderboy Highbloo and Top Billin newest signing, the young Emperatrons. A dub version of the original is also included for you who don’t dig vocal stuff.

Get Your Conga On
Here’s what many of you have been waiting for since we uploaded it to Soundcloud…
Joyce Muniz is from Brazil and she is our homegirl. She’s also a talented producer and a vocalist and when she sent us her ‘Get Your Conga On’ track we were blown away with it (we thought the vocal in it could not be touched anymore but she proved us wrong) and told her that this needs to be out and available for everybody!
Then she tell us that they did a whole ep around the track with her producer partner Shanti Roots (who’s been an important character in the Austrian music scene for years) that has got that perfect house/club vibe. This time stuff is deeper than usually on Top Billin but we are like that. Also recruiting her friends Ben Mono and Lazy Ants for the remix work, this is a perfect ep for your summer. House is a feeling, 7 tracks (includes a great bonus cut ‘Maluca’ which means crazy girl btw) all club-friendly bass-heavy material.
“Really lovin’ it! Joyce is kick ass n’ this collab with Shanti is pure gold!” – EDU K
Time for another release in our ‘Nightrunners’ -series and it’s one monster house ep! Koobra is the other half of Helsinki 78-82 and a long-time Top Billin associate and he also brings us ‘that big city house’ -feel with his solo. This whole release came as a (pleasant) suprise to us, we were not aware that he would have time to finish all the tunes just before summer holidays, but there we have it.
‘Thrills’ is a smooth French styled house groover while ‘It’s You’ is a total vocal hit with some pumping production, and ‘Question’ is a more italo filled affair… 3 tracks on this release, all great, all needed for your summers dj sets.
CHECK IT AT THESE SHOPS AND PLS SHOW SUPPORT (all hail) TO KOOBRA.

Title: PL Funky
Release date: OUT NOW
Tracklisting:
The Phantom: Cambodia
Spox: Free Voices
Tears: No Way Out
Zeppy Zep – Sierra
Vanatoski – The Accordion
Our newest release is a UK Funky styled thing from…. Poland.
Yes, may sound a bit funny but this ep definitely the best we’ve heard in Funky for a while. Our top guys from Poland, The Phantom, Teezy & Zeppy, Tears, Spox and Vanatoski bring those beats and that bass, make no mistake about it. Here’s what they got to say about the ep:
“We’re all bedroom producers in the first place. The initial idea came about in late summer of 2009 right after coming back from this dj tour that me and Zeppy did . I knew about a few kids here and there making music, all I did was I hit them up and said “How u feelin about the idea, I think we should make this happen “. That’s the whole story – there was no key to styles, as you can feel tunes are not genre-specific – call it garage, call it grime, tropical or techno, it’s all around the shop, I left it to the crew as long as the tunes I’ve been sent stayed percussive and house tempoed. After wrapping the whole thing up we’ve sent the EP to a couple of local blogs, I remember saying no one in Europe can get this, it’s a strictly local thing for heads in Poland and let’s keep it that way. What we aimed for was building a net of young producers doing it our way, doing it different. You can find local bmore djs, you can find local house djs, you can find mashup djs in this country, you won’t hear them produce. We wanted to stay strong and go different way, simple as that.
Obviously we can’t deny UK is where the inspiration mainly comes from. We doing it our way tho, without looking at the others and will keep it that way. We’re really happy seing the support Top Billin showed to our local idea, it’s a big honour for all the crew to see this EP dropping shortly. – Tears aka Thomas
PL Funky is not a ‘genre’ tho, it’s nice and lil funny project name for this great compilation ep. We all hope you dig it, we sure do. It’s a funky ting rite now.

Artist: Femme En Fourrure
Title: ‘Plump Bisquit’ w/ Sharkslayer remix
Release date: 5th February 2010
Femme En Fourrure aka Juuso & Bianca, our fellow disco / house lovers from Helsinki have been making waves witheir minimalistic yet bass-heavy house sound lately. Juuso has been known as disco-enthusiast and now with a female companion, they create a house sound that’s very much 2010. They’ve done remixes for Crystal Fighters, Edu K, Myd (‘Train To Bamako’) anyone, huge ep that one) and a release for Dandy Kids records last year, so it’s time to release a single from them on Top Billin. As Femme En Fourrure and Sharkslayer are friends, what would be more appropriate than a Sharkslayer remix/‘demon dub’ (a true soundboy burial) to accompany the single. This for the ones who love that techier side of house but with soft deep subs and airhorns. If you play that Renaissance Man / Sound Pellegrino style as well as some Sinden / Crookers vibes, you might find this relevant to your interests. There’s a lot more in the pipeline from the dynamic duo, so keep watch.
Helsinki 78-82 EP officially out today. Juno, Beatport and the rest of them shops are propably polishing those aiffs as write this. Meanwhile get your files from Top Billin MP3 shop. Vinyl available through Intergroove distribution systems today.
Right on the heels of our previous bass/electro smasher, we hit you with the most anticipated house/disco record of recent times.
Helsinki 78-82 is a project by Top Billin team members Flipper & Koobra, who’ve always been active and always been down to bring something new to the label. While Flipper is part of the Top Billin dj team and has always been the most high-flying of us, so no wonder the the new 12” is some musical bliss that’ll leave you feeling that good good. This is what we call Big City House music, when you’re cruising the streets at night with the top down - no words needed. In a manner Michael Mann would be proud of.
‘So Lifelike’ is a ‘sort of’ remake of Lifelike’s great ‘ So Electric (under permission)’, although this time it comes with vocals from our great Helsinki new wave partners Villa Nah. If you are in need of a new end-nighter, this is it. ‘Cruising’ is a tune full of that pumping big city feel with driving drums and great synth work that will get them ladies on the floor and will fit into those funky house / modern disco sets. We even have a video for it, but it’s a different kind of cruising than you think (no Al Pacino). Digital release will feature also one tough-thumping house monster titled ‘Project 2′.
We’ve been playing this since last summer and it’s been a staple at daytime radioshows where we come from and greatly welcomed by some of our top dj friends who’ve gotten it early (we know, unfair, but life is) like:
‘So Lifelike is the JAM’ – Diplo
‘So Lifelike is so great!’ – Nick Catchdubs, Fools Gold Records
‘This isn’t only a surprise but a true treat for the ears.” -Turntable Lab
Get this future classic in your record box as we have a limited pressing only and no more will be made. We also hope this will give you as good feelings as it gives to us.

Title: Jabajaws / Peterpan EP w/ instrumentals
Release date: 8th January 2010
New release info & preview:
Enter… SEKTA. Producer, dj, promoter, graphic designer, a true renaissance man from Poland.
When he’s not co-promoting and organizing bookings for the Warsaw’s most popular club night – ‘Sorry, Ghettoblaster’ (guests include: Renaissance Man, Riva Starr, Zombie Disco Squad, Sweat X, Congorock, The Bloody Beetroots, Shadowdancer, etc you get the picture, big parties), Sekta works on his productions that range from ghettoed-out bass music to smoother housier styles, not forgetting the techy elements here and there. The outcome of his latest efforts is the fresh EP, recorded with Spoek Mathambo (if you’ve been listening you’ve heard of him already for sure, who could miss the prince of township tech from South Africa), the vocalist of Sweat X and Playdoe.
Just like the music styles that have been flooding the dancefloors of the best club nights around the world, the tracks of Sekta and Spoek ooze with an african-heavy-bass-uk-funky groove. This means of course steaming hot tribal drums mixed together with digital calimba and massive bass and bangin on in the dancefloor.
Polish dj/producer, South African mc and heavy bass, how dope can things sometimes be? We hope you all dig this and choose to support new talent! AYOBANESS everyone.
Hey everyone. Our dancefloor killer ‘Playboy Anthem’ is out now officially with a ton of remixes:
Top Billin Comedy Jams for 2010!
TOP BILLIN – ‘PLAYBOY ANTHEM’
You may know we’re always in a for fun & games, so here’s an ep that’s get you crackin and also bangin the club!
Ealier this year we were asked to do a track for the Scion/Discobelle free compilation and could not use samples. So we think wtf, what do we do now. Made a disco beat, called our boy So Hot It Hurts, who always puts down fun lyrics and came up with Playboy Anthem. HIPHOUSE FOR THE NEW GENERATION. The tune became an instant classic and tells a true story too, when SHIH was working at a golf club, bored and trying to get his swing on.
And here it is now as a single with remixes from our fun-loving friends from Brazil to Canada, France to Australia and so on. Remixes come from Smalltown Romeo, Rico Tubbs, Joyce Muniz & Shanti Roots, DJ Edgar, DJ Beware & Motorpitch, Act Yo Age, and the Bootycall boys, Marvy & Kaptain Cadillac.
Hope you will dig it, we do. We would also like to thank Chris Rock for his continuous support and spiritual guidance.
Raziek is back. And with a vengenace. He’s truly a great guy and part of the Top Billin knighthood, always bringing us good vibes, whether the style be straight up ghetto grooves or house or bass-fuelled club thumbers, he’s on it. We’re happy to release his new single titled ‘Die’, that has people already raving about it (with artwork to match his manly image).
Die is a tune very much now, combining some African vibes with South American samples and production for the club. Raziek gives it some extra push with a dirty bassline, while we remix the original into a something deeper (that you drop 6am at Berghain supposedly). Emynd then again turns the tune into a banging club version with some real Euro vibes, that leaves us in envy once again (guy is more and more impressive, sigh).
Check his new tune below plus the Top Billin remix. The EMYND remix you can find exclusively at the TB shop along with whole ep.
RAZIEK – DIE EP
Release Date 18.9.
Die (Original mix)
Die (Top Billin remix)
Die (Emynd remix)
It rhymes. It also bangs, here’s a special remix for all of you that they wanted us to do. I feel like it’s safe to pass on now… Does this need explanation, you’ve heard the original and it’s dope (didn’t think a sample from Steam would work, but apparently does), so get your dancing shoes on with this one as well.
