Well look no further as our collaboration with Manchester’s finest ep aka Virus Syndicate is out now! Virus Syndicate are as real as it gets as grime mc’s, they got an amazing list of hits under their belt and this collabo is no exception. We gave they guys a proper party beat with big pianos and a gnarly bassline, and the guys turned this into a proper drinking anthem / party monster. It’s all about poppin bottles you know, if you ain’t poppin we feel sorry for you. Remixes come from amazing ghetto music kings such as Say Wut, DJ Rashad & Earl and UK’s Killahurtz. Let’s all fill up our glasses up to the top and party on. Dope review at Juno: "Top Billin deliver the goods yet again with this absolute smash on their own imprint, featuring vocals from Virus Syndicate. The original mix is pretty much the perfect combination of UK funky and electro house, featuring a satisfyingly heavy bassline, a bit of funky swing in the snappy rhythm and some of the best flow from Virus Syndicate to date. Say Wut's remix takes a lighter approach than the original, taking away the huge bassline, and pushing things in a funky direction, with the jangling percussion and hollow synth melody providing just as effective a backdrop to the vocals as the massive original, whilst Killahurtz's remix provides an impressive big room reworking which sees Top Billin's original and raises it with its abrasive bassline. Despite these huge remixes on offer, Top Billin should be applauded for capping the collection off with a remix from juke heroes DJ Rashad and DJ Earl which pushes the tempo up to 150bpm without breaking a sweat, offering a machinegun MPC workout that is perhaps the highlight of the EP." Take one of Sweden´s biggest DJs, put him in a studio together with Robyn´s (yes, that blond girl) drummer and you get the producer duo: MRTN. DJ Mrtn (Sthlm Beat) and the drummer Pomp (Povel Olofsson) have worked together since spring of 2010, and their debut track ‘High’ was released august 2010. ‘High’ is a raving floor filler that was produced with one purpose in mind only, to destroy any dance floor. Until september 2011 they called themselves MRTNxPOMP, but then decided to change the name to simply: MRTN. During 2011 Mrtn Sthlm Beat and Pomp finally managed to finish their debut EP, even though they both were on separate tours all spring and summer: Mrtn Sthlm Beat doing DJ sets all over Europe and Pomp as Robyn´s drummer all over the world. Now the fresh MRTN debut ep is released on Top Billin. Featuring the vocals of lovely Lovisa Negga, this stunning debute is a keeper. We spoke about the next single already back then and now Wool hits us with his follow-up titled ‘SF 94’. This is house music for the mature audiences folks. Here’s what Wool has to say about his new smasher: “I started this track 'SF94' last summer when I was feeling nostalgic about a summer I spent dancing in the clubs of San Francisco during the summer of 1994.
