You may know we’re always in a for fun & games, so here’s an ep that’s get you crackin and also bangin the club!
Ealier this year we were asked to do a track for the Scion/Discobelle free compilation and could not use samples. So we think wtf, what do we do now. Made a disco beat, called our boy So Hot It Hurts, who always puts down fun lyrics and came up with Playboy Anthem. HIPHOUSE FOR THE NEW GENERATION. The tune became an instant classic and tells a true story too, when SHIH was working at a golf club, bored and trying to get his swing on.
And here it is now as a single with remixes from our fun-loving friends from Brazil to Canada, France to Australia and so on. Remixes come from Smalltown Romeo, Rico Tubbs, Joyce Muniz & Shanti Roots, DJ Edgar, DJ Beware & Motorpitch, Act Yo Age, and the Bootycall boys, Marvy & Kaptain Cadillac.
Hope you will dig it, we do. We would also like to thank Chris Rock for his continuous support and spiritual guidance.
Did we play the shit out of Eli’s remix of Keyshia Cole, such a big remix for us in 2008. Rustie’s made one too, coming close but not quite, little off here and there… But as a fan of Rustie’s, this deservers the full support as it’s perfect for the current dj sets! Cop it.

Going through my collection of South African tunes and diggin the latest Mixin It Up by our Swedish brethen Pom Pom guys (Terminator Returns is dopeness), I remembered this gem from 2007. Not maybe your average banger, but a kool tune to get the thing going. South Africa ftw, soon come stuff on Top Billin with a SA vocalist you all may now.
Of the classic Mary J. joint…. A kool little partybreak to get the thing started (and how great is the original). A little off here and there, but maybe that’s part of the charm. We’re off to a northern ski resort tomorrow for their season opening party, other acts include some Idols winners and whatnot and not sure if it’s a good thing, but we will smash it out with some club remixes and classic rap anyway.
This is my favourite time, death & horror at clubs. I was looking for some dope halloween dj mixes, but came back empty handed, anyway see you tonite @nollabar for some EVIT EDIT action and later on @redrum for the RING THE ALARM party. Let this be your set’s intro song on this Halloween. *wolfcry*
Our tall homie DJ Eleven will drop his new record titled ‘Dance Your Way’ next week…. and it’s truly great piece of club flavoured disco music so keep your eyes open and don’t forget to get it as soon as it drops. As a maker of lots of remixes, blends, club tools, here’s a sweet one from Joe.
After all the Busy Signal originals/remixes we end up playing, this is a great look on a video. So many great Busy songs this year. Thanks to Heatwave for keeping me updated month after month. This Busy remix from So Shifty is another winner (just like their ‘Keep It Going Louder’ remix).
Updating from the boat, on our way to Tallinn, the great neighbouring city. Sharkslayer will slay it tonite at Mutant Disco, a club arranged by Chris the Rhythm Doctor and Raul Saaremets. Mutant Disco has been running since for ever, over 10 years what I can remember. Check the awesome pics of Chris & Raul, they know what’s up (check the new release on Raul Saaremet’s label, Umblu). We fully recommend Tallinn as a place to visit, to me it has always been the most ‘European’ of nordic cities. Take the edit below to smash at clubs this weekend, it comes without the bad female vox (and in general more suitable for manly dj sets).
Mark your calendars as we will return to Paris with our French allies, the Bootycall crew. Last time at the Social Club was great with Teki and Boy 8-Bit in the house as well, this time we take over Nouveau Casino. And Paris is great during November, romantic and all, but we’ll be there with J-Laini so let’s not get into that. This little edit by the Voltron DJs a something nice for dj sets, high energy (Voltron DJs are from Belgium, but close enough to France anyway).
Our man in the struggle (work is never over) EMYND has got a new ep out and this is a must for every hard-working dj. The ep contains great bmorish remixes of soul classics that work in every way. ‘Hangin’ and ‘Reach Out’ have been staples in our sets for a some time and now you can bang this monsters out too.
