I love it when a new discogs package of 12″s arrives. Makes me feel like a kid every time. This is a jam from today’s package. The release is a double 12″ with 4 mixes but you only really need this mix by Fire Island (Pete Heller and Terry Farley). Emotional meaning good, not bad.

As you might know I do a weekly radioshow, called Perjantaishow, on Bassoradio 102.8 MHz. Last Friday we did a Dance Mania Xmas special in the spirit of the ghetto Christmas. 100% Dance Mania for two hours, with special guests Tomba and Toni Aalto who together own almost the whole DM catalogue on vinyl.

Here’s a gem from the shelves with the both sides. The A side is a slow modern soul burner and the B side “Punkin Funkin” lives up to it’s name by bringing some of that funk. Paris was a guy who worked at a record shop in Detroit and loved music so much that he decided to make a record of his own. Anything’s possible and love conquers all as they say.

I really had some good times on the weekend. Daniel Wang was in Helsinki and I had him as a guest on my radio show. Daniel is a super cool dude and really plays some awesome music that’s for sure. Saturday was a blast at the Hitto party and we all know that Turku really knows how to party. Now it’s time for a new week and a new month so what’s a better kick off than some quality house music. This weekend has especially “good boogie” going on. There’s Kid Sister, Todd Terje & Tensnake in Helsinki on the same weekend. This tune has a good tensnakeish vibe going on, as lots of his stuff is pretty “boogieish”. Plus I heard that Tensnake’s favourite boogie is Chemise – She Can’t Love You, top tune also. So let’s put our heads together for the weekend.
